How to Draw a Pickle
Draw a pickle in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pickle.
Step 1: The pickle
Draw a fat wobbly sausage lying flat across the middle. Bite 2 round scoops out of the right end.
Step 2: The stem end
Start on the left end of the pickle. Draw a small round bump and stop back on the pickle.
Step 3: Inside the bite
Start at the top of the bite. Draw a curve just inside the scoops and stop at the bottom.
Step 4: Warty bumps
Draw 4 small dots spread out along the pickle for its warty skin.
Step 5: More bumps
Add 3 more small dots lower down in the gaps, so the dots make a zigzag.
Step 6: A shine
Along the top left edge draw a thin sliver for a shine, just inside the edge.
Step 7: A plate
Draw a big flat oval plate behind the pickle. Start on the left and skip the hidden part.
Step 8: Cream bite
Colour the band inside the bite cream.
Step 9: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue, going round the pickle.
Step 10: Green pickle
Colour the pickle and stem dark green, around the cream bite. Leave the shine white. Your pickle is done!
