How to Draw a Truffle

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a truffle in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the truffle.

Print

  1. Step 1: The truffle

Left of the middle draw a big bumpy round as big as a plum, for a ball of chocolate.

Tip Not a perfect circle: a little lumpy.

  2. Step 2: The paper cup

Low on the ball draw a wavy line, edge to edge. Hang a short paper cup under it.

Tip Keep the cup short, so the round ball shows.

  3. Step 3: Flutes

Draw 5 lines down the cup from the wavy top to the bottom edge, each leaning a little outward.

  4. Step 4: Cocoa dusting

Dot 3 tiny specks of cocoa on the ball, away from the edge.

  5. Step 5: A shine

On the upper left of the ball draw a thin slanted oval for a shine.

  6. Step 6: A second truffle

To the right and lower down draw a smaller ball in its own short wavy-topped paper cup, with 3 pleats.

  7. Step 7: A plate

Draw a long flat oval plate under the truffles, passing behind them. Add a smaller oval inside for the rim.

  8. Step 8: The table

Draw a table line under the plate from well left to well right, just touching its bottom.

  9. Step 9: Cream cups

Go over your lines, then colour both paper cups cream.

  10. Step 10: Sky plate

Colour the plate sky blue, going around the cups and the small truffle.

  11. Step 11: Brown chocolate

Colour both balls brown, leaving the shine white, and your truffles are done!
