How to Draw a Pickle with a Face
Draw a pickle with a face in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pickle.
Step 1: The pickle
In the middle draw a tall fat bean standing up, with a gentle bend and soft bumpy sides.
Tip Bend the top a little to the right, like a real pickle.
Step 2: The stem nub
On the very top of the pickle draw a tiny round nub poking up for the stem end.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the top third draw 2 big egg eyes, a small gap apart. Big black dot and shine in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from eye to eye, and a small oval cheek at each end.
Step 5: Warty bumps
Below the face draw 5 small ovals down the pickle, zigzagging side to side, none touching.
Step 6: A shine
Near the top left of the pickle, above the left eye, draw a thin tipped oval for the shine.
Step 7: Two stubby arms
Halfway down each side draw a short arm pointing down and out, ending in a round mitten hand.
Tip Point them down, not up, or your pickle turns into a cactus.
Step 8: Two feet
Under the pickle draw 2 bean feet poking out, with a gap between them, flat on the bottom.
Step 9: The ground
Draw the ground line from near the left edge to near the right edge, under both feet.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Light green pickle
Colour the pickle, nub, arms and feet light green, around the cheeks and bumps. Leave the eyes and shine white.
Step 12: Dark green bumps
Colour the bumps dark green, and your pickle pal is done!
