How to Draw a Eucalyptus Branch

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a eucalyptus branch in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the branch.

Print

  1. Step 1: The branch

Start low on the left. Draw a long bowed branch up to the top right, getting thinner at the tip.

  2. Step 2: First leaf pair

Near the bottom of the branch draw a round leaf like a coin on each side, touching the branch.

Tip Eucalyptus leaves are round and silvery, in pairs.

  3. Step 3: Two more pairs

A little further up draw another pair of round leaves, and another pair above that, each a touch smaller.

  4. Step 4: Two more pairs again

Keep going up the branch with two more pairs of round leaves, smaller still.

  5. Step 5: The last pair

Near the tip draw one last small pair of round leaves.

  6. Step 6: The tip leaf

At the very tip draw one little round leaf growing out of the end of the branch.

  7. Step 7: Leaf veins

On the 6 biggest leaves draw a vein from the branch out along the middle, stopping before the edge.

  8. Step 8: Teal leaves

Go over your lines, then colour the leaves below the branch teal, like silvery eucalyptus.

  9. Step 9: More teal leaves

Colour the leaves above the branch and the tip leaf teal too.

  10. Step 10: Brown branch

Colour the branch wood brown, and your eucalyptus branch is done!
