How to Draw a Photographer
Draw a photographer in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 oval eyes, a nose and a smile. Each C ear starts and stops on the head line.
Step 3: Floppy beret
Draw a big soft puffy beret on the head, just above the eyes. Rub out the head line inside it.
Step 4: Neck and shirt
Draw 2 neck lines under the chin. From them, draw a short-sleeved shirt down to the hem.
Step 5: Bent arms
Start at each sleeve. Draw the arm down, round the elbow and in. Stop at a thin wrist.
Step 6: Mitten hands
Draw a round mitten on each arm, with a thumb bump on top. Leave a gap between the 2 hands.
Step 7: Camera
Draw a camera box between the hands. Add a lens with a ring, a flash and a button on top.
Step 8: Camera strap
From the bottom of each neck line, draw a curved strap down to the top corner of the camera.
Step 9: Trousers and shoes
Start under the arms. Draw 2 trouser legs with a V between, and stop at the feet. Add 2 shoes.
Step 10: The ground
Draw a ground line under the shoes, starting past the left shoe and stopping past the right one.
Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Go over your lines. Colour the face, neck, ears, arms and hands peach, with pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Tan shirt, red beret
Colour the shirt tan, around the camera and the hands, and the beret red.
Step 13: Black camera, navy trousers
Colour the camera and shoes black, leaving the lens ring and flash white. Make the lens middle and trousers navy.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a photographer, drawn by you.
