How to Draw a Fashion Figure
Draw a fashion figure in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the long gown.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 round eyes with a tiny lash flicking off each. Add a U nose, a smile and 2 eyebrows.
Step 3: Hat brim
Above the eyebrows draw a wide flat oval brim, wider than the head. Rub out the head line above it.
Step 4: Hat top and band
Start on the left of the brim. Draw a dome and come down to the brim. Add a ribbon curve.
Step 5: Long hair
Start under the brim. Draw hair flowing down past the chin to the shoulder, wavy at the bottom. Both sides.
Step 6: Neck and gown
Draw 2 neck lines from the chin into a long gown with puff sleeves, thin waist, wide hem and belt.
Step 7: Arms
Start under each puff sleeve. Draw 2 lines bending gently at the elbow, getting thinner down to the wrist.
Step 8: Mitten hands
Start at the outside wrist. Draw a round mitten with a little thumb pointing in. Stop at the inside wrist.
Step 9: Bead, shoes, ground
Draw a bead under the chin, 2 shoe toes peeking under the hem, and a long ground line under them.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour pink cheeks, then the face, neck, arms and hands peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Yellow belt, red gown
Colour the belt and the bead yellow, then the gown red around them.
Step 12: Brown hair, navy hat
Colour the hair brown and the hat and shoes navy. Your fashion figure is done!
