How to Draw a Philippines Flag

12 steps · Medium · about 9 min

Draw a philippines flag in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: pole and ground.

Print

  1. Step 1: Pole and ground

Draw a tall thin pole on the left, a ball on top, and a ground line from edge to edge.

  2. Step 2: The waving flag

Start on the pole below the ball. Draw a long wavy top edge, a straight side, a wavy bottom edge.

Tip This flag is twice as long as it is tall.

  3. Step 3: The triangle

Start at the flag's top corner. Draw straight to a point in the middle, then back to the bottom corner.

Tip The triangle sits against the pole. Its point stops a little before halfway along the flag.

  4. Step 4: The middle line

Start at the triangle's point. Draw 1 wavy line across to the right side, making 2 even bands.

Tip The line copies the waves of the top edge.

  5. Step 5: The sun

In the middle of the triangle draw a small round circle for the sun.

  6. Step 6: Four rays

On the sun draw 4 pointed rays: one up, one down, one left and one right.

  7. Step 7: Four more rays

Draw 1 more pointed ray in each gap, so the sun has 8 rays.

Tip Make all 8 rays the same size.

  8. Step 8: Three stars

Draw 1 small star with 5 points in each corner of the triangle. That makes 3 stars.

Tip Keep every star inside the triangle, not touching the sun.

  9. Step 9: Yellow ball, grey pole

Colour the ball on top of the pole yellow and the pole grey.

  10. Step 10: Golden sun and stars

Colour the sun, its 8 rays and the 3 stars yellow. Leave the rest of the triangle white.

  11. Step 11: Red bottom band

Colour the bottom band red, from the triangle to the right side.

  12. Step 12: Blue top band

Colour the top band blue. Go over your lines. Your Philippine flag is waving!
