How to Draw a Pharaoh

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a pharaoh in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Egg head

Near the top of your paper draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.

  2. Step 2: The face

In the middle of the head draw 2 big round eyes with a black dot. Add a nose and smile.

  3. Step 3: Headdress top

Start at the left of the head, curve over the top, down to the right. Add a 2-line headband.

  4. Step 4: Headdress sides

From each end of the headband draw a flap hanging down past the cheek to the shoulder.

  5. Step 5: Headdress stripes

Across each flap draw 5 lines, edge to edge. Over the top draw 2 curves, side to side.

  6. Step 6: Long beard

Under the chin draw a long, narrow beard with a round bottom. Add 2 little lines across it.

  7. Step 7: The tunic

Start under the left flap. Draw a T-shirt shape with short sleeves and stop under the right flap.

  8. Step 8: Broad collar

From flap to flap under the neck draw a curve. Draw a deeper curve under it for a wide collar.

  9. Step 9: Arms and hands

From each sleeve draw an arm that gets thinner to the wrist and ends in a round hand.

Tip Keep the hands away from the kilt.

  10. Step 10: The kilt

Start at the bottom corners of the tunic. Draw a kilt out to a wide, round hem.

  11. Step 11: Legs

From under the kilt draw 2 legs, each 2 lines getting closer, down to the ankles.

  12. Step 12: Sandals and ground

Under each leg draw a flat sandal, toe pointing out, standing on a long ground line.

  13. Step 13: Peach skin, yellow gold

Colour the face, neck, arms and legs peach, and the headband, stripes, collar and beard yellow. Leave the eyes white.

  14. Step 14: Tan sandals, blue headdress

Colour the sandals tan, and the rest of the headdress blue, around the yellow stripes. Go over your lines.

Tip Leave the tunic and kilt white.
