How to Draw Perspective Letters
Draw perspective letters in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: block letter a.
Step 1: Block letter A
Low on the left, draw a big block A: 2 fat legs, a flat top and a triangle hole.
Tip Leave room on the right for a B and a C.
Step 2: The A's sides
From each corner on the A's right and bottom edges draw a short slanted line down right. Join them back.
Tip Every depth line leans the same way and is the same length.
Step 3: Block letter B
Leave a finger gap after the A's side. Draw a block B with 2 bumps and a hole in each.
Step 4: The B's sides
Start a short slanted line at each corner on the B's right and bottom. Join their ends back to it.
Step 5: Block letter C
Leave a finger gap after the B's side. Draw a block C, round on the left, open on the right.
Step 6: The C's sides
From the C's right and bottom corners draw short slanted lines. Join them back, curving round the bottom corner.
Step 7: A floor line
Start left of the A and draw a long straight floor line under all 3 letters, stopping past the C.
Step 8: A little star
Above the C draw a little 5-point star: start at the top point and zig round back to it.
Step 9: Two big eyes
On the star draw 2 round eyes an eye apart. Colour a black dot in each with a white speck.
Step 10: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile, and colour a tiny pink oval out from each end for cheeks.
Step 11: Yellow star, red A
Colour the star and the front of the C yellow, going around the face. Colour the A red.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Blue B, slate sides
Colour the B blue, then all the slanted sides and the A's hole slate grey. Your letters are done!
