How to Draw a Person Praying
Draw a person praying in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: head and ears.
Step 1: Head and ears
Near the top draw an egg head. Add a C ear on each side, starting and stopping on the head.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 big eyes in the middle with dots and shines. Add a U nose, a smile and 2 eyebrows.
Step 3: Tufty hair
Start above the left ear. Draw round tufts over the top, stop above the right ear. Add a hairline curve.
Tip Soft round bumps, the middle ones tallest.
Step 4: Neck and T-shirt
Draw 2 neck lines under the chin. From the left one, draw a short-sleeved T-shirt ending at the right one.
Step 5: Praying hands
On the chest draw 2 hands pressed together: a tall pointed arch with a line down the middle.
Tip The point sits just under the collar.
Step 6: Arms
From each sleeve draw an arm down to a round elbow, then across to the hands.
Tip Each arm gets thinner toward the wrist. Rub out the T-shirt lines inside the arms.
Step 7: Kneeling legs
From the T-shirt's left corner draw 2 short legs with round knees at the bottom. Stop at the right corner.
Tip Short legs with round ends: the knees rest on the ground.
Step 8: Shoes and ground
Draw a long ground line under the knees. Add a shoe peeking out behind each knee.
Step 9: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour 2 pink cheeks. Colour the face, ears, neck, arms and hands peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Green shirt, grey trousers
Colour the T-shirt green around the arms and hands. Colour the trousers grey.
Step 11: Brown hair and shoes
Colour the hair and the 2 shoes brown. Go over your lines and you are done!
