How to Draw a Pecan Pie
Draw a pecan pie in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pie top.
Step 1: The pie top
Above the middle of your paper, start on the left and draw a big flat rainbow, stopping on the right.
Step 2: The dish
From the left end of the rainbow draw a shallow U down and round, up to the right end.
Step 3: The crimped crust
Start at the left end. Draw a smile of little round bumps and stop at the right end.
Tip Pinch, pinch, pinch all along the front.
Step 4: A ring of pecans
On top of the pie draw a ring of 6 pecans, each a long oval with a bumpy edge.
Tip Turn each pecan to follow the ring.
Step 5: One in the middle
In the middle of the ring draw 1 more bumpy pecan, lying straight across.
Step 6: Wavy grooves
Draw a wavy line along the middle of every pecan, from one end to the other.
Step 7: The table
Draw a line under the dish from far left to far right, just touching its bottom.
Step 8: A shadow
On the table line draw a low flat hump under the dish, peeking out on both sides, for its shadow.
Step 9: Tan crust
Colour the crust and the dish tan, up to the bumpy edge.
Step 10: Grey shadow
Colour the shadow grey, on both sides of the dish.
Step 11: Caramel filling
Colour the top of the pie ginger for the sticky caramel, around the pecans.
Step 12: Brown pecans
Colour every pecan brown. Your pecan pie is done!

Your finished drawing
