How to Draw a Papaya
Draw a papaya in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: half a papaya.
Step 1: Half a papaya
In the middle of your paper, a little right, draw a long egg standing up, as tall as your hand.
Tip A long egg, smaller end up.
Step 2: The flesh
Inside it draw a second long egg a finger inside the first, all the way round.
Step 3: The seed hollow
In the middle of the flesh draw a thin long egg, 2 fingers wide, for the seed hollow.
Step 4: Seeds
Draw 10 little round seeds down the hollow in a zigzag, with a small gap between each.
Tip Papaya seeds look like black peppercorns.
Step 5: A whole papaya
Behind the half, to the left, draw a second long egg tucked behind the first.
Step 6: Stubby stem
On top of the whole papaya draw a short stubby stem.
Step 7: The ground
Draw a ground line under both papayas, just touching their bottoms.
Step 8: Cream and yellow
Colour the hollow cream, around the seeds, and both skins yellow. Leave a thin white shine on the whole papaya.
Step 9: Orange flesh
Colour the flesh orange, around the cream hollow, and the stem green.
Step 10: Black seeds
Go over your lines, then colour every seed black.
