How to Draw a Sausage
Draw a sausage in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
A little below the middle of your paper draw a big oval plate, wider than your hand.
Step 2: The rim
Draw a second oval a finger inside the first, all the way round, for the rim of the plate.
Step 3: The sausage
Across the middle of the plate draw a big fat sausage lying down, bent like a banana, inside the rim.
Tip A fat bent tube, the same fatness all along, with round ends.
Step 4: Knotted ends
On each end draw a tiny oval poking out for the twisted knot of skin.
Step 5: Grill marks
Draw 4 short marks, starting a little below the top edge and stopping before the middle.
Step 6: A squiggle of mustard
Below the grill marks draw one gentle wavy line of mustard from near one end to the other.
Step 7: Steam
Just above the plate, over the sausage, draw 2 wiggly steam lines going up.
Step 8: The table
Draw a line under the plate from well left to well right, just touching its bottom.
Step 9: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue, going around the sausage.
Step 10: Tan knots, yellow mustard
Colour the knots tan and the mustard line yellow.
Step 11: Brown sausage
Go over your lines, then colour the sausage brown, going around the mustard. Your sausage is done!
