How to Draw a Peanut
Draw a peanut in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: left oval.
Step 1: Left oval
In the left half of your paper, lightly draw a big oval, a bit wider than it is tall.
Step 2: Right oval
Lightly draw a second oval overlapping it a little on the right, a tiny bit smaller, bottoms level.
Step 3: Left bump
Start at the top middle. Go over the left oval, stop at the bottom middle, curving in at both ends.
Step 4: Right bump
Start at the top middle again. Go over the right oval, stop at the bottom middle. Rub out the ovals.
Step 5: A soft tip
At the right end draw a tiny soft point sticking out, then rub out the line inside it.
Step 6: Waist creases
Where the bumps meet, draw a short bowed line down from the top edge and one up from the bottom.
Step 7: Left grooves
Across the middle of the left bump draw 3 short slanted dashes in a row, for grooves in the shell.
Step 8: Right grooves
Across the middle of the right bump draw 3 more short dashes in a row, leaning the same way.
Step 9: The ground
Draw a ground line under the peanut, from near the left edge to near the right, touching both bumps.
Step 10: Tan shell
Go over your lines, then colour the whole shell tan, the soft tip too. Your peanut is done!
