How to Draw a Bruschetta

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a bruschetta in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.

Print

  1. Step 1: A plate

Just below the middle of your paper draw a big flat oval plate, most of the way across.

  2. Step 2: The rim

Draw a second oval a finger inside the plate, all the way round, for the rim.

  3. Step 3: The toast

On the plate draw a long slice of bread with soft, squarish ends and a gently bumpy top edge.

Tip Bruschetta is a slice of toasted bread piled with chopped tomato and basil.

  4. Step 4: The crust

Start at the slice's left end. Drop down a little, curve under the slice and stop at its right end.

  5. Step 5: Tomato chunks

In the middle of the toast draw 6 small lumpy tomato chunks in a heap, each tilted its own way.

  6. Step 6: Basil leaves

Draw 2 pointed basil leaves, one lying low on the left and one poking up on the right.

  7. Step 7: The table

Draw a line under the plate from well left to well right, just touching its bottom.

  8. Step 8: Tan toast, sky plate

Go over your lines, then colour the top of the toast tan around the toppings, and the plate sky blue.

  9. Step 9: Brown crust

Colour the thin crust along the side of the toast brown.

  10. Step 10: Red tomato, green basil

Colour the tomato chunks red and the basil leaves green. Your bruschetta is done!
