How to Draw a Curry
Draw a curry in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the plate.
Step 1: The plate
A little below the middle of your paper draw a big flat oval plate, as wide as your hand.
Step 2: A hill of rice
On the left of the plate draw a soft round hill of rice, like a scoop of ice cream.
Step 3: The curry
On the right, against the rice, draw a big soft oval puddle of curry.
Step 4: Carrots and potatoes
In the curry draw 2 tilted ovals for carrot pieces and 2 lumpy rounds for potato pieces, none touching.
Step 5: Peas and rice grains
Draw 4 small round peas in the curry, none touching. On the rice draw little curved dashes for grains.
Step 6: A spoon
In front of the rice draw a spoon lying down: a small oval bowl and a stick leaning out left.
Step 7: Steam
Above the plate draw 2 curvy steam lines going up, one over the rice and one over the curry.
Step 8: Orange carrots, tan potatoes
Go over your lines, then colour the carrot pieces orange and the potato pieces tan.
Step 9: Green peas
Colour the 4 peas green.
Step 10: Grey spoon, sky plate
Colour the spoon grey and the plate sky blue around it. Leave the rice white.
Step 11: Brown curry
Colour the curry brown around the carrots, potatoes and peas, and your curry is ready to eat!
