How to Draw Oatmeal
Draw oatmeal in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
Above the middle of your paper draw a wide flat oval, as wide as your hand, for the bowl's top.
Tip Look down into the bowl a little: the top is a flat oval.
Step 2: The bowl
Start at the left end of the oval. Draw a big U down and round, stopping at the right end.
Step 3: The foot
Draw a short stand under the bowl: start at bottom left, go down, across, and stop at bottom right.
Step 4: The table
Draw a long table line under the foot, from well left of the bowl to well right of it.
Step 5: The oatmeal
Inside the rim draw a second flat oval a finger inside it, for the top of the oatmeal.
Step 6: Banana slices
On the oatmeal draw 3 flat round banana slices: left, low middle and right. Dot 3 tiny seeds in each.
Step 7: Blueberries
Dot 4 small round blueberries on the oatmeal in the gaps, none touching the banana.
Step 8: A spoon
Right of the middle draw a spoon leaning up out of the bowl to the right, like a long stick.
Step 9: The stripe
Start on the bowl's left side under the rim. Draw a bowed stripe round and stop on the right side.
Step 10: Steam
Start a little above the rim and draw 2 wiggly steam lines going up, side by side.
Step 11: Yellow banana, tan oatmeal
Colour the banana slices yellow. Colour the oatmeal tan, going around the fruit and the spoon.
Step 12: Blue berries, grey spoon
Colour the blueberries blue and the spoon grey.
Step 13: White bowl, purple stripe
Colour the band between the rim and the stripe purple. Leave the rest of the bowl white.
