How to Draw a Parsnip Bunch
Draw a parsnip bunch in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the middle parsnip.
Step 1: The middle parsnip
In the middle draw a tall root: wide round shoulders at the top, narrowing to a long thin tail.
Tip Parsnips are like pale, chunky carrots with big shoulders and skinny tails.
Step 2: Two more
Draw a parsnip peeking out on each side, tucked behind the middle one, tails leaning outwards.
Step 3: Rings
On each parsnip draw 2 or 3 lines that curve down a little, from edge to edge, like rings.
Step 4: Top leaf
Above the middle parsnip draw a big soft leaf pointing up, with 3 rounded bumps on each side.
Step 5: Side leaves
Draw 2 more bumpy leaves leaning out left and right, and a smaller one out past each outer parsnip.
Step 6: Leaf stalks
Join each leaf to its parsnip with a stalk: 2 close lines from the shoulder up to the leaf's base.
Step 7: A string
Below the shoulders draw a thick string from the left edge across the parsnips to a knot with 2 tails.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a ground line under everything from left to right, just touching the bottoms.
Step 9: Cream parsnips
Go over your lines, then colour all 3 parsnips cream and the string tan.
Step 10: Green leaves
Colour all the leaves and stalks green, and your parsnips are done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a parsnip bunch, drawn by you.
