How to Draw a Hot Dog Bun
Draw a hot dog bun in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: front of the bun.
Step 1: Front of the bun
Below the middle, draw a long low loaf with round ends. Its top dips in the middle like a smile.
Step 2: Fat sausage
Draw a long fat sausage lying in the bun, with round ends poking out past both ends of the bun.
Step 3: Back of the bun
Start at the top left corner of the bun. Draw a low rainbow behind the sausage, down to the right.
Step 4: Mustard
Along the top of the sausage, draw a thick wiggly mustard band with round ends.
Step 5: A shine
Near the left end of the sausage, draw a short curved shine line just inside its top edge.
Step 6: A plate
Behind the hot dog, draw a big flat oval plate, wider than everything. Add a second oval inside.
Step 7: The table
Draw a long line under the plate, just touching its bottom.
Step 8: Yellow mustard
Colour inside the mustard band yellow.
Step 9: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue around the hot dog.
Step 10: Tan bun
Colour the front and back of the bun tan.
Step 11: Red sausage
Colour the sausage red around the mustard, and your hot dog is done!
