How to Draw a Park Ranger
Draw a park ranger in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 eyes, a nose and a smile. Start a C ear on each side, ending on the head.
Step 3: Ranger hat
Draw a wide brim over the eyes. Start on it, draw a round crown, stop on it. Add a band.
Tip Give the crown 2 soft dents on top, not sharp points.
Step 4: Neck and shirt
Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one draw a shirt with short sleeves, up to the right one.
Step 5: Pockets and badge
Draw 2 pockets on the shirt. Above the left pocket draw a star badge with 5 points.
Step 6: Arms
From each sleeve draw 2 lines down to the wrist, bending gently at the elbow and getting narrower.
Step 7: Mitten hands
From the outer wrist draw a round mitten with a little thumb pointing in. Stop at the inner wrist.
Step 8: Trousers and belt
From one shirt corner draw trousers, a V between the legs, over to the other. Add a belt and buckle.
Step 9: Boots and ground
Under each leg draw a tall boot with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the boots.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour pink cheeks, then the face, ears, neck, arms and hands peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Yellow badge, tan hat
Colour the badge and buckle yellow. Colour the hat tan, around the band.
Step 12: Green uniform, brown boots
Colour the shirt and trousers green around the badge. Colour the band, belt and boots brown, around the buckle.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a park ranger, drawn by you.
