How to Draw a Strawberry with a Face

Draw a strawberry with a face in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: plump berry.

Step 1: Plump berry
Draw a plump berry with a gently rounded top and round shoulders, curving in to a soft point.
Tip Make it as wide as it is tall, and the same on both sides.
Step 2: Two big eyes
In the middle of the berry draw 2 big egg-shaped eyes, an eye apart.
Step 3: Shiny pupils
Inside each eye colour a big black dot, leaving a white circle and a tiny dot for the shine.
Step 4: A smile
Start under the left eye's inner edge. Draw a small U smile and stop under the right eye's inner edge.
Step 5: Rosy cheeks
Under the outer edge of each eye draw a small flat oval cheek.
Tip Keep the cheeks clear of the eyes and the edge.
Step 6: The stalk
On the middle of the top draw a short stalk, round at the bottom and bending right at the tip.
Tip Rub out the berry line inside the stalk.
Step 7: Middle leaf
From under the stalk draw a pointy leaf hanging straight down. Stop well above the eyes.
Step 8: Side leaves
From the stalk draw a longer pointy leaf out to each side, drooping a little.
Step 9: Top leaves
Draw 2 pointy leaves up and out from the stalk, poking past the top of the berry.
Tip Rub out the berry line inside these 2 leaves.
Step 10: Seeds
Draw 5 little teardrop seeds, points down: 1 beside each eye and 3 below the smile.
Tip Keep every seed away from the face and the edge.
Step 11: The ground
Start at the left. Draw a straight ground line that just touches the berry's point, and stop at the right.
Step 12: Yellow and pink
Go over your lines. Colour the 5 seeds yellow and the 2 cheeks pink.
Step 13: Green leaves
Colour the 5 leaves and the stalk green.
Step 14: Red berry
Colour the berry red around the face, seeds and leaves. Leave the eyes white.
Tip Your smiley strawberry is done!
