How to Draw Italian Ice
Draw Italian ice in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
A little below the middle draw a wide flat oval for the top of the cup, about a hand across.
Step 2: The cup
From each end of the oval draw a short line down, leaning in. Join the bottoms with a smile.
Tip The cup is narrower at the bottom, like a paper cup.
Step 3: The ice
From the left end of the rim, draw a big mound with 3 soft bumps to the right end.
Tip Make the middle bump the highest, like a heap of shaved ice.
Step 4: A spoon
Start and stop on the ice, top right. Draw a thin spoon handle leaning out, round at the end.
Step 5: Stripe
Near the bottom of the cup draw a smile from side to side. Draw a second smile just under it.
Step 6: The table
Draw a table line under the cup from well left to well right, level with its bottom.
Step 7: A shadow
Draw a thin flat oval shadow under the cup, poking out each side. Rub out the line inside it.
Step 8: Spoon and cup
Go over your lines. Colour the spoon cream and the cup sky blue, leaving the stripe white.
Step 9: Red ice
Colour the ice red, and the top of the cup inside the rim red too.
Step 10: Grey shadow
Colour the shadow grey. Your Italian ice is ready!
