How to Draw Paella
Draw paella in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pan.
Step 1: The pan
In the middle draw a big flat oval, as wide as your hand, for the top of the pan.
Step 2: The side
Start at the left end of the oval. Draw a shallow curve under it, up to the right end.
Step 3: 2 handles
At each end draw a big D loop that starts and stops on the pan, and a small D inside.
Tip The small D is the hole, so the handles look like loops.
Step 4: The rice
Inside the oval draw a second oval a finger inside it for the rice.
Step 5: Prawns
Draw 2 curled prawns on the rice, upper left and lower right, each a fat C with a fan tail.
Tip Make each prawn get thinner towards its tail.
Step 6: Mussels
Draw 2 pointed almond shapes like open shells, with a line along the middle of each.
Step 7: Pepper strips
Draw 3 short fat strips of red pepper in the gaps on the rice.
Step 8: Peas
Draw 4 little round peas spread about the rice, in the gaps.
Step 9: The table
Draw a line under the pan from well left to well right.
Step 10: Yellow rice
Go over your lines, then colour the rice yellow around the prawns, mussels, peppers and peas.
Step 11: Pink prawns, navy mussels
Colour the prawns pink and the mussel shells navy.
Step 12: Green peas, red peppers
Colour the peas green and the peppers red.
Step 13: Slate pan
Colour the pan's rim, side and handles slate grey, around the yellow rice and the handle holes.
