How to Draw Pad Thai
Draw pad Thai in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
Below the middle, draw a big flat oval plate, most of the page wide. Add a rim oval just inside.
Step 2: A heap of noodles
Inside the rim, draw a big low hill of noodles with a bumpy edge, nearly as wide as the rim.
Tip Lots of little bumps make it look like noodles.
Step 3: Noodle loops
Across the heap, draw 3 wiggly noodles, one under another, each starting and stopping inside the heap.
Step 4: Two prawns
On the heap, draw 2 curled prawns with fan tails, one on each side. Add 2 lines across each.
Tip Rub out the noodle lines inside the prawns.
Step 5: A lime wedge
At the front right, draw a half-round lime wedge, flat side down, with a rind line and 3 short lines.
Step 6: Peanuts and a chive
Draw 3 small tilted ovals for peanuts, spread about the heap, and 1 short chive stick in the middle.
Step 7: Chopsticks
On the plate under the heap, draw 2 chopsticks side by side, not touching the heap.
Step 8: Sandy noodles
Colour the heap sand around the prawns, lime, peanuts and chive.
Step 9: Pink prawns, green lime
Colour the prawns and their tails pink, and the lime wedge green.
Step 10: Brown peanuts, green chive
Colour the peanuts brown and the chive green.
Step 11: Sky plate, wood chopsticks
Colour the plate sky blue around the noodles, and the chopsticks wood brown.
