How to Draw Jollof Rice
Draw jollof rice in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
A little below the middle draw a big flat oval plate, as wide as your hand and half as tall.
Step 2: The rim
Draw a second oval just inside the plate, all the way round, for the rim.
Step 3: Heap of rice
Start low on the plate's left, draw little bumps up and over, stop low, and add a flat bottom.
Tip Jollof is rice cooked in a spicy red tomato sauce.
Step 4: Bits of pepper
On the heap draw 4 small tilted squares spread about, for bits of pepper.
Step 5: A drumstick
Over the heap's bottom right corner draw a drumstick: an egg of meat with a bone poking up right.
Tip Rub out the rice lines inside the meat.
Step 6: Fried plantain
Under the drumstick draw 3 long slices of plantain, pointed at both ends like fat almonds, fanned out.
Step 7: Sky plate
Go over your lines, then colour the plate sky blue around the food.
Step 8: Yellow plantain, cream bone
Colour the plantain yellow and the bone cream.
Step 9: Orange rice
Colour the rice heap orange around the pepper bits.
Step 10: Red pepper, brown chicken
Colour the pepper bits red and the chicken brown. Your jollof rice is done!
