How to Draw Dough
Draw dough in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the dough ball.
Step 1: The dough ball
In the middle of your paper draw a big soft puffy ball, a little wider than it is tall.
Tip Dough is soft, so keep every curve round.
Step 2: The bowl
Draw a shallow bowl across the dough's bottom with a flat base. Rub out the dough line inside it.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
In the middle of the dough draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Add a small flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Soft folds
Just inside the top left and top right of the dough, draw a short curve that follows the outline.
Step 6: A rolling pin
In front of the bowl draw a rolling pin: a long fat sausage with a thin handle at each end.
Step 7: The table
Draw a table line under the bowl and rolling pin, from one side of the page to the other.
Step 8: Cream dough
Go over your lines, then colour the dough cream. Leave the eyes, cheeks and 3 little flour spots white.
Step 9: Sky bowl, wood pin
Colour the bowl sky blue and the rolling pin wood brown.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink. Your dough is ready to rise!
