How to Draw an Ottoman
Draw an ottoman in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the drum side.
Step 1: The drum side
In the middle draw the fat drum: a flat top, sides that bulge out a little, and a round bottom.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the side draw 2 big egg eyes, one eye-width apart. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Add a small flat oval cheek beside each eye.
Step 4: Puffy top
Over the top line draw a big puffy oval, a little wider than the drum, with round ends.
Step 5: Tuft buttons
On the top draw 3 small round buttons in a gentle curve: left, middle and right.
Step 6: The piping
Just under the front of the puffy top, draw a matching curve from side to side for the seam.
Step 7: The legs
Under the drum draw 2 short legs that get thinner at the bottom, one near each side.
Step 8: Ground line
Start a little in from the left edge. Draw a ground line under it, stopping near the right edge.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw 3 four-point sparkles around it, 2 up high and 1 on the right, not touching it.
Step 10: Yellow and pink
Go over your lines, then colour the buttons and sparkles yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Brown legs
Colour the 2 legs wood brown.
Step 12: Purple ottoman
Colour the top and the drum purple, going around the buttons and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
