How to Draw Orion
Draw Orion in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big shoulder star.
Step 1: The big shoulder star
High on the left of your paper draw one big 5-point star, as big as a plum.
Step 2: Two big eyes
In the middle of the big star draw 2 egg eyes. Add a big black dot and a shine.
Step 3: A smile
Under the eyes draw a small U smile, inside the star.
Step 4: Head and shoulder
Draw a small star at the top for the head. Draw another to the right, level with the big star.
Step 5: The belt
In the middle of the paper draw 3 small stars in a row, rising a tiny bit to the right.
Step 6: The feet
Near the bottom draw 2 more small stars for the feet, one under each shoulder.
Step 7: Join the top
Join the stars with straight lines. Big shoulder to head, head to other shoulder, each shoulder down to the belt.
Step 8: Join belt and legs
Join the 3 belt stars with 2 short lines. Draw a line from each belt end to a foot.
Step 9: Three sparkles
Draw 3 tiny 4-point sparkles in the empty sky, well away from the stars and lines.
Step 10: Yellow face star
Dab 2 pink cheeks. Colour the big star yellow, around the face. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Yellow stars
Colour the 7 small stars and 3 sparkles yellow too. Your Orion is twinkling!
