How to Draw an Orange
Draw an orange in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the orange.
Step 1: The orange
In the middle of your paper draw a big round, as big as your fist.
Tip Round like a ball but a little lumpy, not a perfect circle.
Step 2: The stem
At the very top draw a tiny circle where the stem joins. Draw the stem up from it, leaning right.
Step 3: A leaf
From the stem's tip draw a fat leaf pointing up right. Add a line down its middle.
Step 4: Dimples
Dot 5 tiny dots on the orange for its bumpy skin. Spread them out, none touching the edge.
Step 5: A shine
Inside the left side draw a thin curved sliver, like a tiny banana, a finger inside the edge.
Step 6: A slice
Low on the right, clear of the orange, draw a half circle slice lying on its flat side.
Tip Leave a small gap so the slice does not touch the orange.
Step 7: Inside the slice
Inside, draw a smaller rainbow from flat side to flat side. Add 3 lines from the bottom middle to it.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a ground line under the orange and the slice, just touching their bottoms.
Step 9: Cream and orange
Colour the slice's thin edge cream. Colour the orange and the slice's middle orange, leaving the shine white.
Step 10: Green leaf, brown stem
Colour the leaf green, and the stem and its little circle brown.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: an orange, drawn by you.
