How to Draw a Honey Pot
Draw a honey pot in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pot.
Step 1: The pot
Start near the top left. Draw a big fat C down, round the bottom, and up to the top right.
Tip A honey pot is a fat round jar. Leave the top open.
Step 2: The lid
Across the open top draw a flat oval for the lid, going all the way round.
Step 3: The knob
On the lid draw a little round knob: start on the lid, go up and over, down to the lid.
Step 4: The neck band
Start on the pot's left side, just under the lid. Draw a gentle smile across to the right side.
Step 5: A drip
From the left of the band draw a drip down the pot, round the bottom and up to the band.
Step 6: A label
On the front draw an oval label as big as your palm. Inside it draw a little 6-sided honeycomb cell.
Step 7: A dipper
Start right of the pot's bottom, draw a stick ending above the lid. Add a ribbed knob with a drip.
Tip A honey dipper has a ribbed knob. It leans on the pot.
Step 8: The ground
Start left of the pot and draw a long ground line under it, out past the dipper's foot.
Step 9: Yellow honey
Go over your lines, then colour the drips and the label yellow, like honey.
Step 10: Tan pot
Colour the pot, lid and knob tan, around the drip, label and stick. Leave a white shine on the left.
Step 11: Wood dipper
Colour the dipper stick and its knob wood brown.
