How to Draw an Orange Tree

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw an orange tree in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: leafy top.

Print

  1. Step 1: Leafy top

Start on the left, halfway down your paper. Draw a big rainbow of soft bumps. Stop level on the right.

Tip Make it a little wider than it is tall, like a fluffy cloud.

  2. Step 2: Bumps underneath

From the rainbow's right end draw 2 shallow bumps, leave a trunk gap, then 2 more to the left end.

  3. Step 3: The trunk

From each end of the gap, draw a trunk line down near the bottom, curving out into a root.

  4. Step 4: Two branches

From the trunk's left top, draw 2 round-tipped branches up with a V between, ending at the right top.

  5. Step 5: Leafy hills

On the leaves' left side, halfway up, draw 3 hill bumps down to the middle. Repeat from the right.

  6. Step 6: Oranges

Draw 5 round oranges in the leaves, 1 between the branches. Give each a tiny stem and a fat leaf.

  7. Step 7: Ground and fallen orange

Draw a long ground line under the roots. Add a few grass blades, then a fallen orange on the ground.

  8. Step 8: Orange oranges

    Colour all 6 oranges orange.

  9. Step 9: Green leaves

Colour the leafy top and every tiny leaf green, around the oranges, stopping at the branches.

  10. Step 10: Wood trunk

Colour the trunk and both branches wood brown. Go over your lines and your orange tree is done!
