How to Draw an Anemone Flower
Draw an anemone flower in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the middle.
Step 1: The middle
Near the top of your paper draw a round circle for the middle, about as big as a walnut.
Step 2: 3 petals
Start on top of the circle. Draw a plump petal up and back to it. Add one up-right, one down-right.
Step 3: Two more petals
Keep going round: draw a petal pointing down and one pointing down-left, each tucked behind the last.
Step 4: The last petals
Draw a petal pointing left and one pointing up-left. Now 7 plump petals go all the way round.
Step 5: A ring of dots
Just outside the middle circle draw a ring of 6 black dots. Keep each dot off the petal lines.
Tip The dark middle with its ring of dots makes it an anemone.
Step 6: The stem
Start under the flower. Draw 2 lines down to near the bottom, bowing gently and getting a little thinner.
Step 7: 2 leaves
Start on the stem. Draw a fat leaf out left and back to the stem. Same lower on the right.
Step 8: Ground and grass
Start near the left edge. Draw a soft ground line to near the right edge. Add grass by the stem.
Step 9: Purple petals
Go over your lines, then colour all 7 petals purple around the dots, right to their edges.
Step 10: Black middle, green stem
Colour the middle black, then colour the stem and both leaves leaf green.
