How to Draw an Orange Blossom
Draw an orange blossom in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the twig.
Step 1: The twig
Start low on the left. Draw a twig that curves up to the right, thinner at the top.
Tip Give the bottom end a round cap.
Step 2: The top petal
On the twig's tip draw a long thin petal pointing straight up, with a round end.
Tip Orange blossom petals are long and narrow, like fingers.
Step 3: Four more petals
From the same spot draw 4 more long petals, spread out evenly like a star.
Tip Two point out to the sides and two point down, one each side of the twig.
Step 4: The middle
Where the petals meet draw a circle. Put a ring of 6 dots inside it.
Step 5: Two buds
On the twig's left side draw 2 short stalks. Put an egg-shaped bud on each one.
Tip Make the top bud a little bigger than the bottom one.
Step 6: Two leaves
On the twig's right side draw 2 long leaves with pointed tips, the top one bigger.
Step 7: Leaf veins
Start at the twig. Draw a line along the middle of each leaf, stopping before the tip.
Step 8: White petals
Go over your lines. Colour the 5 petals and both buds with a white crayon.
Step 9: Yellow middle
Colour the middle circle yellow, around the dots.
Step 10: Green leaves
Colour both leaves green.
Step 11: Brown twig
Colour the twig and the 2 bud stalks brown. Your blossom is done!
