13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a one world trade center in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tall tower.

Print

  1. Step 1: The tall tower

Draw a very tall tower: wide at the bottom, sloping in to a narrower flat top.

Tip Leave room above for the spire and below for the base.

  2. Step 2: The base

Start at the bottom left corner. Draw a box base down, across and up, stopping at the right corner.

  3. Step 3: The big triangle

Start at each bottom corner of the tower. Draw a long line up, stopping at the middle of the top.

Tip Now the tower has 3 triangles: one pointing up and two pointing down.

  4. Step 4: The roof ring

On top of the tower draw a flat oval ring, a little narrower than the roof.

  5. Step 5: The spire

Start on the ring. Draw a thin mast up, across, and down to the ring. Add an antenna line.

Tip The spire is very tall and thin.

  6. Step 6: Ground and door

Draw a ground line, edge to edge. Start on it in the middle, draw a door box, stop on it.

  7. Step 7: Low buildings

Start on the ground. Draw a box building each side, then roof lines that stop at the base.

Tip They are tiny next to the tower.

  8. Step 8: Little windows

Draw 4 square windows on each tall building and 2 on each low one.

Tip Keep each window small and square.

  9. Step 9: Yellow windows

Go over your lines. Colour all 12 little windows yellow.

  10. Step 10: Sky blue glass

Colour the big middle triangle and the door sky blue.

Tip Glass towers shine like the sky.

  11. Step 11: Stone buildings

Colour the 4 low buildings warm stone, going around their windows.

  12. Step 12: Blue side triangles

Colour the 2 thin side triangles a darker blue.

  13. Step 13: Grey base and spire

Colour the base, the ring and the spire grey, around the door. Your tower is done!
