How to Draw an Office

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw an office in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the desk top.

Print

  1. Step 1: The desk top

Across the right side of your paper draw a long flat plank with soft corners.

Tip Leave the left third of the page empty for the chair.

  2. Step 2: Box and leg

Under the plank's right end draw a tall box. Under its left end draw a thin leg.

Tip Both go down to the same height, where the floor will be.

  3. Step 3: The computer screen

Above the desk draw a big soft box with a smaller box inside it for the screen.

  4. Step 4: Screen stand

Under the screen draw a short neck down to a flat foot standing on the desk.

  5. Step 5: Two drawers

On the box draw 2 soft drawer fronts, one above the other. Add a small handle on each.

  6. Step 6: A mug

On the desk's right end draw a small cup. Add a C handle, starting and stopping on its side.

  7. Step 7: Chair back and seat

Left of the desk draw a soft box with a round top, a tiny neck, then a long flat seat.

Tip The seat is a little wider than the back.

  8. Step 8: Stem, legs, wheels

From the seat draw a stem down to a wheel. Add 2 spreading legs with a wheel on each.

  9. Step 9: The floor

Start near the left edge and rule a floor line to near the right edge, under the wheels.

  10. Step 10: Wall clock

High on the wall above the chair draw a circle inside a circle. Add 2 hands from the middle.

  11. Step 11: Blue screen, tan drawers

Colour the screen sky blue. Colour the 2 drawer fronts tan, going around the handles.

  12. Step 12: Red and blue

Colour the mug and the clock's rim red, leaving its face white. Colour the chair back and seat blue.

  13. Step 13: Wood desk

Colour the plank, the leg and the box around the drawer fronts wood brown.

  14. Step 14: Dark grey parts

Colour the screen's frame and stand, the handles and the chair's stem, legs and wheels dark grey. Done!
