How to Draw a Town
Draw a town in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the ground.
Step 1: The ground
Near the bottom of your paper draw a long straight ground line from left to right.
Step 2: A house
On the left, start on the ground, go up, across and back down to the ground. Add a pointy roof.
Step 3: A shop
From the house's wall at the ground, go up past its corner, across wide and back down to the ground.
Step 4: The clock tower
From the shop's wall go up very tall, across a little, back to the ground. Add a pointy roof.
Step 5: A big block
From the tower's wall go up half as tall, across wide and back down to the ground.
Step 6: A little house
From the block's wall go up a little, across and back down to the ground. Add a pointy roof.
Step 7: The shop awning
On the shop draw a bumpy awning with 3 stripes. Under it draw an arched door and a square window.
Step 8: The clock
Near the top of the tower draw a round clock with 2 hands. Add 2 little windows under it.
Step 9: Doors and windows
Give each house an arched door and a window above. Give the big block a door and 4 windows.
Step 10: The sun
In the top left corner draw a round sun with 8 short rays.
Step 11: Cream and yellow
Colour the houses and the tower cream. Colour the shop and the sun yellow.
Tip Leave the windows, the clock and every other awning stripe white for now.
Step 12: Tan block, sky windows
Colour the big block tan. Colour all the windows and the clock sky blue.
Step 13: Blue stripes, red roofs
Colour the 2 white awning stripes blue and the 3 roofs red. Go over your lines and you're done!
