How to Draw an Odysseus
Draw an odysseus in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Left of the middle, near the top, draw an egg for the head, narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room on the right for a tall bow.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 big round eyes halfway down the head, with dots. Add a tiny U nose and a smile.
Step 3: Headband
Draw a thin band across the forehead, from one side of the head to the other.
Step 4: Curly hair
Start at the left end of the headband. Draw 6 soft curly bumps over the head to the right end.
Step 5: The beard
Start on the left cheek beside the smile. Draw a big U under the chin to the right cheek.
Step 6: The tunic
Under the beard draw a short-sleeved tunic down to the knees. Add a belt and a stripe above the hem.
Step 7: Two arms
Start at each sleeve. Left arm: 2 lines down, stop at the wrist. Right arm: 2 lines bending out.
Tip Each arm gets thinner toward the wrist.
Step 8: Hand and fist
On the left wrist draw a mitten hanging down. On the right wrist draw a round fist.
Step 9: The great bow
Draw a tall thin crescent through the fist, tips pointing left. Join the tips with a straight string.
Tip The string runs behind the arm.
Step 10: Legs and sandals
From the hem draw each leg down to a thin ankle. Add sandals with long toes, and a ground line.
Step 11: Peach skin
Colour the face, arms, hand, fist and legs peach. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Red band, yellow stripe
Colour the headband red and the stripe at the bottom of the tunic yellow.
Step 13: Blue tunic, brown hair
Colour the tunic blue. Colour the hair, beard, belt, bow and sandals brown. Go over your lines.
