How to Draw a Robot Cat
Draw a robot cat in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: box head.
Step 1: Box head
Near the top, draw a big box for the head, wider than tall, with softly rounded corners.
Tip Leave room above for pointy ears and below for the body.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Above the middle of the box, draw 2 big round eyes, a gap apart, with black dots and a shine.
Step 3: Box snout and nose
Under the eyes, draw a small rounded box snout inside the head. Near its top, draw a black triangle nose.
Step 4: Smile
From the bottom of the nose, draw a short line down, then a little w out to each side.
Step 5: Pointy ear plates
On each top corner of the head, draw a tall triangle ear plate pointing up, with a smaller triangle inside.
Step 6: Wire whiskers
From each side of the head, rule 2 straight wire whiskers out, one slanting up, one down.
Step 7: Antenna
Start on top of the head in the middle. Rule a short line straight up, stopping at a round ball.
Step 8: Box body and collar
Under the head, draw a big box body. Draw 2 collar curves from the left side, stopping on the right.
Tip Rounded corners, sagging collar. Rub out the head line inside the body.
Step 9: Chest screen
Under the collar, draw a small rectangle screen on the chest with a short line across inside.
Step 10: Tube legs and paws
For each front leg, rule 2 lines close together from under the collar down to a flat block paw.
Tip Add a knee line across each leg and a toe line on each paw.
Step 11: Back paws and ground
At each bottom corner of the body, draw a low block paw. Rule a ground line under all the paws.
Step 12: Curly tail
From the right side of the body, draw 2 lines curling up high. Stop at a round ball.
Tip Keep the tail wide where it leaves the body and thin at the ball.
Step 13: Pink ears, yellow balls
Colour the inner ears pink, and the antenna ball and the tail ball yellow.
Step 14: Grey metal, blue collar
Colour the cat grey around the pink and yellow, but not the collar or screen. Colour those blue.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
