How to Draw an Ocarina
Draw an ocarina in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the body.
Step 1: The body
Low on your paper draw a fat sweet potato lying down: soft point on the left, round on the right.
Tip An ocarina is a little clay whistle shaped like a sweet potato.
Step 2: Two big eyes
In the middle of the body draw 2 big egg eyes side by side. Add a black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile, and a small flat cheek at each end.
Step 4: The mouthpiece
From the round right end of the body, draw a short stub sticking straight out, with a flat end.
Step 5: Finger holes
Along the top of the body, above the eyes, draw a curved row of 4 small circles for finger holes.
Step 6: Blow hole
At the flat end of the mouthpiece, draw a thin slot for you to blow into.
Step 7: Music notes
Draw 3 music notes around the ocarina: a filled-in oval, a stem up and a little flag.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw a little sparkle on each side of the ocarina.
Step 9: Table and shadow
Draw a flat oval shadow under the bottom of the body, and a table line out from each side.
Step 10: Sky ocarina
Go over your lines. Colour the body sky blue, going around the face and holes. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Tan mouthpiece, pink cheeks
Colour the mouthpiece tan, going around the blow hole, and the cheeks pink.
Step 12: Grey shadow, black holes
Colour the shadow grey, and the finger holes and blow hole black. Your ocarina is ready to toot!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: an ocarina, drawn by you.
