How to Draw a Fedora
Draw a fedora in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the crown.
Step 1: The crown
Start low on the left. Go up, over a dipped top, and down to stop level on the right.
Step 2: 2 big eyes
On the crown, below the middle, draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, with a shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye, and a small oval cheek out beside each end.
Step 4: The brim
Round the bottom of the crown, draw a wide flat oval for the brim, well past both sides.
Step 5: Make the brim thick
Start at the left tip of the brim. Draw a big smile curve under it, stopping at the right tip.
Step 6: The band
Just above the bottom of the crown, start on the left. Draw a smile curve across, stopping on the right.
Step 7: A feather
Tuck a long feather into the left end of the band, leaning up and out, with a curved middle line.
Step 8: Sparkles and a table
Draw a sparkle star top right and a smaller one on the left. Draw a table line under the brim.
Step 9: Pink and yellow
Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink and the sparkles yellow.
Step 10: Tan hat
Colour the crown and the brim tan, going around the eyes, cheeks, band and feather. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Brown band, red feather
Colour the band brown and the feather red, and your fedora is ready to tip!
