How to Draw Noodles
Draw noodles in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: rim.
Step 1: Rim
Below the middle of your paper draw a wide flat oval for the bowl top, as wide as your hand.
Step 2: Bowl
Start at the left end of the oval. Draw a big deep U down, up to the right end.
Step 3: Foot
Under the bowl, start on the bottom left. Draw a short stand down, across, and up to the bottom right.
Step 4: Soup
Inside the rim draw a second flat oval a finger inside it for the soup.
Step 5: Noodles in the soup
On each side of the soup draw a short fat wavy noodle, like a thick wiggly worm.
Step 6: Chopsticks
Above the bowl, a little right, draw 2 long thin sticks side by side leaning up to the right.
Tip The chopstick tips point down into the soup.
Step 7: Noodles lifted up
From the chopstick tips draw 3 fat wiggly noodles hanging down into the soup.
Step 8: Stripe and steam
Draw a bowed line below the rim, side to side. Add 2 wiggly steam lines rising from the soup.
Step 9: Table
Draw a line under the foot from left to right, just touching its bottom.
Step 10: Yellow noodles, tan soup
Go over your lines. Colour every noodle yellow, then the soup tan around them. Leave the rim white.
Step 11: Wood chopsticks
Colour the chopsticks wood brown.
Step 12: Red stripe, white bowl
Colour the band between the rim and the stripe red. Leave the bottom of the bowl white.
