How to Draw a BLT Sandwich
Draw a BLT sandwich in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: top toast.
Step 1: Top toast
Above the middle, draw a wide slice of toast: a gently domed top with 2 soft round shoulders.
Tip Make the shoulders a little wider than the bottom of the slice.
Step 2: Crust edge
From each bottom corner of the toast, draw a short line down, then join them along the bottom.
Step 3: Frilly lettuce
Start under the toast's left corner. Draw 7 fat bumps, wider than the toast, stopping on the right.
Step 4: Tomato slice
Under the lettuce, draw a thick slice with round ends, sticking out wider than the bread.
Step 5: Wavy bacon
Under the tomato, draw a wavy strip of bacon. Add 1 long wavy line inside it from end to end.
Tip Wavy like a ribbon.
Step 6: Bottom toast
Under the bacon, draw a long flat box with soft corners, the same width as the top slice.
Step 7: Pick and olive
From the middle of the toast's top edge, draw a stick straight up to a round olive.
Tip The pick holds the sandwich together.
Step 8: Plate and table
From the bottom bread's left side, draw a flat oval plate round to its right side. Add a table line.
Step 9: Sky plate, tan bread
Go over your lines. Colour the plate sky blue and both slices of bread tan.
Step 10: Red tomato, ginger bacon
Colour the tomato and a small dot on the olive red. Colour the bacon ginger.
Step 11: Green lettuce
Colour the lettuce and the olive green, around the red dot.
