How to Draw Crab Legs
Draw crab legs in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
In the middle of your paper draw a big round plate, nearly as wide as the page.
Tip Make it a little wider than it is tall.
Step 2: The rim
Draw a second round line a finger inside the plate, all the way round, for the rim.
Step 3: A long leg
Across the middle draw a long crab leg: thick on the left, one bend, then thinner to a point.
Tip The bend is the knee. Make the thick end round.
Step 4: Two more legs
Draw the same leg again above the first one, and once more below it.
Tip Leave a gap between the legs so they do not touch.
Step 5: The claw
Near the top draw a fat claw: a round hand with a big curved finger and a smaller one.
Tip Leave a pointy gap between the 2 fingers.
Step 6: The claw's arm
On the back of the claw draw a short thick arm going left. Make its end round.
Step 7: Cut ends
Inside the thick end of each leg and the arm, draw a curved line to make a thin oval.
Tip This is the white crab meat, showing where the leg was cut.
Step 8: Knee lines
Draw a short line across each leg at its knee, from the top of the bend to the bottom.
Step 9: A cup of butter
On the right draw a small round cup of melted butter: a circle with a smaller circle inside.
Step 10: A lemon wedge
Near the bottom right draw a half circle lying flat. Add a smaller one inside and 3 lines.
Step 11: Yellow and cream
Colour the butter and the lemon yellow. Colour the little cup's rim and the 4 cut ends cream.
Step 12: Red shells
Colour the 3 legs, the claw and its arm red, right up to the cream ovals.
Tip Cooked crab legs turn bright red.
Step 13: A blue plate
Colour the plate light blue, going around all the food. Your crab legs are done!
