How to Draw a Hiding Ninja

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a hiding ninja in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the wall.

Print

  1. Step 1: The wall

On the left half of your paper draw a tall wall, its right edge just past the middle.

  2. Step 2: The face

From the wall's edge draw a face with a low curved top and a round chin, back to the edge.

  3. Step 3: Eye and mask

Draw one big eye. From the wall's edge draw a mask line under it, stopping at the right side.

  4. Step 4: Hair and headband

Start on the wall's edge. Draw round tufts over the top, stopping on the right. Add a headband with tails.

  5. Step 5: Neck and suit

Draw a neck line. From the wall draw a shoulder, skip the sleeve, then the side back to the wall.

  6. Step 6: Sleeve and hand

From the shoulder draw a sleeve to a narrow wrist, up to the armpit. Add a hand with a thumb.

  7. Step 7: Belt and trousers

Draw a wide belt and knot. From the suit's corner draw a leg, up to a point, to the wall.

  8. Step 8: Shoe and ground

Under the leg draw an ankle band and a shoe, toe out. Add a ground line from the wall rightwards.

  9. Step 9: Hand gripping the edge

On the wall's edge, level with his shoulder, draw a rounded block hand with 3 short finger lines hooked over.

  10. Step 10: Bricks

Draw 4 lines across the wall and short lines down between them, staggered like real bricks. Skip the hand.

  11. Step 11: Tan wall, peach skin

Colour the wall tan, around the hand. Colour the face strip, neck, ankle and hands peach. Leave the eye white.

  12. Step 12: Red band, grey suit

Colour the headband, tails and belt red. Colour the suit, trousers and mask dark grey, around the belt.

  13. Step 13: Black hair and shoe

Go over your lines. Colour the hair and shoe black. Your hiding ninja is done!
