How to Draw a Nepal Flag
Draw a nepal flag in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the flag pole.
Step 1: The flag pole
In the left half draw a tall thin pole from near the bottom to near the top.
Step 2: Ball on top
Put a small round ball on the very top of the pole.
Step 3: Top triangle
Start on the pole below the ball. Draw a long slanted line down to the right, then straight back halfway.
Tip This flag is not a rectangle. It is 2 pointed triangles, one above the other.
Step 4: Bottom triangle
From where you stopped, slant down to the right again. Then draw straight back to the pole.
Tip Make both points sharp.
Step 5: The border
Inside the flag draw the same shape again, a little smaller, to make a thin border all around.
Tip Keep the gap the same width everywhere.
Step 6: A smile curve
In the top triangle draw a wide U like a smile. Start at the left tip, stop at the right.
Tip Keep the moon nearer the pole than the point.
Step 7: The crescent moon
Draw a flatter curve inside the U. Start at the left tip and stop at the right tip.
Tip The moon lies on its back with both tips pointing up.
Step 8: A light circle
In the bottom triangle, under the moon, lightly draw a small circle.
Tip Press softly. You will rub the circle out soon.
Step 9: The sun
Draw 12 pointed rays all around the circle, like a zigzag ring. Start with one pointing straight up.
Tip Make 3 rays in each quarter of the circle.
Step 10: Ground line
Rub out the circle. Draw a long flat ground line under the pole, from left to right.
Step 11: Yellow ball, grey pole
Colour the ball on top of the pole yellow and the pole grey.
Step 12: Red inside
Colour the inside of the flag red around the moon and the sun. Leave them white.
Step 13: Blue border
Colour the thin border blue, all the way around. Go over your lines.
Tip Your Nepal flag is the only one in the world with this shape!
