How to Draw a Nasturtium
Draw a nasturtium in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a round leaf.
Step 1: A round leaf
Left of the middle draw a big round leaf, with a stem from under it curving down to the bottom.
Tip The stem hides under the leaf and holds it up, like a tiny umbrella.
Step 2: Another leaf
To the right draw a smaller, lower leaf, with a curving stem from under it down to near the bottom.
Step 3: Leaf veins
In each leaf draw 6 short lines from the middle out like spokes, stopping short of the edge.
Step 4: The first flower
Above the leaves draw a flower: a tiny circle with 5 rounded petals round it, like a fat star.
Step 5: Its stem
From under the flower draw a stem curving down between the leaves, stopping near the bottom.
Step 6: A second flower
On the right draw a smaller flower, with a stem from under it curving down to near the bottom.
Step 7: A bud
On the far left draw a small teardrop bud, with a stem from it curving down to near the bottom.
Step 8: The ground
Draw the ground line from the left edge to the right edge, just touching the bottoms of the stems.
Step 9: Orange flowers
Colour the flower middles yellow and all the petals orange.
Step 10: Green leaves
Colour the round leaves and the bud green, and your nasturtium is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a nasturtium, drawn by you.
