How to Draw a Branch with Blossoms
Draw a branch with blossoms in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the branch.
Step 1: The branch
Low on the left draw a small oval. From it draw 2 curving lines that meet in a round tip.
Tip The branch rises gently and gets thinner, a thumb thick at the cut end.
Step 2: First twig
A third of the way along, start on the branch. Draw 2 short lines leaning in, ending a thumb up.
Tip The twig is thinner at the top.
Step 3: Second twig
Two thirds along, start on the branch. Draw another twig: 2 lines leaning in, ending a thumb up and right.
Step 4: First twig blossoms
On the first twig tip draw 2 blossoms. Start on the twig, ring 5 bumps round, stop where you started.
Step 5: Second twig blossoms
On the second twig tip draw 2 more blossoms. Start on the twig, ring 5 bumps, stop where you started.
Step 6: Blossom on the tip
On the round tip of the branch draw one more blossom, starting and stopping on the tip.
Step 7: Flower middles
Draw a small dot in the middle of every blossom.
Step 8: Two leaves
Draw 2 pointed leaves hanging from the branch, one under the first twig and one near the tip.
Step 9: Bark lines
Draw 3 short curved dashes along the branch: near the cut end, in the middle and near the tip.
Step 10: Pink blossoms
Colour the blossom middles yellow, then every blossom pink, going around the yellow middles.
Step 11: Green leaves
Colour both leaves leaf green.
Step 12: Brown branch
Colour the branch, cut end and both twigs wood brown, around the blossoms. Your blossom branch is done!
