How to Draw Mustard

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw mustard in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bottle.

Print

  1. Step 1: The bottle

Draw a tall bottle, taller than it is wide, with round shoulders and a short neck on top.

  2. Step 2: The pointy cap

On the neck draw the cap: a short wide band, then 2 slanted lines leaning in to a flat tip.

Tip The cap is a cone with a tiny flat top.

  3. Step 3: Cap line

Draw a short line across the cap near its bottom.

  4. Step 4: A label

On the front of the bottle draw a big oval label, almost as wide as the bottle.

  5. Step 5: A squiggle

On the label draw a gentle wavy line with 2 humps, from left to right, like a ribbon of mustard.

  6. Step 6: A shine

Draw a thin curved line down the left side of the bottle, inside the edge, for a shine.

  7. Step 7: A shadow

Around the bottom of the bottle draw a flat oval for a shadow, a little wider than the bottle.

  8. Step 8: The table

Start at the shadow and draw a straight table line out to each side, stopping before the page edge.

  9. Step 9: A blob of mustard

On the table to the right draw a little rounded blob sitting on the line, a squirt of mustard.

  10. Step 10: Yellow mustard

Go over your lines, then colour the bottle yellow, leaving the label white, and the blob yellow too.

  11. Step 11: Red cap, grey shadow

Colour the cap red and the shadow grey around the bottle, and your mustard is done!
