How to Draw a Gummy Worm

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a gummy worm in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round plate.

Print

  1. Step 1: Big round plate

In the middle of your paper, draw a big squashed circle for the plate, most of the way across.

  2. Step 2: The rim

Draw a second oval a finger inside the first one, all the way round, for the rim.

  3. Step 3: The tail end

At the left, draw a fat tube from a round tail up and over. End it with a line across.

Tip Make the tube as fat as your thumb.

  4. Step 4: The middle

From that line, carry the tube down and round the bottom. End it with a line across.

  5. Step 5: The head end

From that line, draw the tube going up on the right. Round off the top for the head.

  6. Step 6: A friendly face

Near the head end, draw 2 round eyes, each with a black dot and shine. Add a smile under them.

  7. Step 7: Sugar sparkles

On the plate, draw 3 tiny 4-point sparkles of sugar around the worm.

  8. Step 8: The table

Draw a table line under the plate, just touching its bottom, from well left to well right.

  9. Step 9: Yellow and sky blue

Colour the middle of the worm yellow, then the plate sky blue around the worm and sparkles.

  10. Step 10: Green and red

Colour the head green and the tail red. Leave the eyes white. Your gummy worm is done!
