How to Draw a Musician
Draw a musician in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room on the left for an arm and a guitar neck.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 small eyes, a U nose and a smile. Add C ears, starting and ending on the head line.
Step 3: Soft hair cap
Start on the left of the head by the eyebrows. Draw hair tufts over the top, down to the right.
Step 4: Neck and shirt
Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one draw a shirt round to the right one, with short sleeves.
Step 5: Arms
From each sleeve draw an arm that gets thinner at the wrist: the left reaches out, the right bends in.
Step 6: Mitten hands
From one side of each wrist draw a mitten round to the other side. Left points out, right points in.
Step 7: Guitar body
In front of the tummy draw a fat figure 8 on its side, tipped up left. Add a sound hole.
Step 8: Neck and head
From the guitar draw a neck of 2 lines up left, ending in a rounded head.
Step 9: Strings
From under the right hand draw 2 close lines over the sound hole and neck, stopping at the left hand.
Step 10: Trousers, shoes and ground
From the shirt's left corner draw 2 trouser legs, stopping at the right corner. Add shoes and a ground line.
Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, ears, neck, arms and hands peach, with pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Teal shirt, blue trousers
Colour the shirt teal and the trousers blue.
Step 13: Wood guitar, brown hair
Colour the guitar wood brown and its head, the hair and the shoes darker brown. Colour the sound hole black.
